As part of Italian Cuisine Week 2025, taking place across Portugal from October 18 to 26, COMITES Portugal presents a new edition of “Taste in Art” — an event celebrating the connection between art, tradition, and Italian food culture.

Following last year’s success, the initiative grows with a richer program, a wider national reach, and an even broader audience. The 2025 edition will span three special days in Porto, Faro, and Lisbon, bringing the best of Italy’s culinary heritage to different regions of Portugal.

PORTO 

Workshop "Homemade Gnocchi” – with Chef Vittorio Esposito

Restaurant Casa da Vittorio – Rua da Boa Hora 65, 4050-099 Porto

A hands-on workshop dedicated to the art of making handmade gnocchi, led by Chef Vittorio Esposito, who will share his extensive experience in traditional Italian cuisine by opening the doors of his restaurant Casa da Vittorio. Participants will have the chance to learn professional techniques and secrets, then taste their own creations paired with two surprise sauces.

Workshop “Pizza Family Experience for Kids”

The Therapist Lab (Alvalade) - R. José d'Esaguy 11 C, 1700-266 Lisboa

A social moment designed for parents and children, where participants can prepare, top, and bake their own pizza — and then enjoy it together.

The activity, created especially for the little ones, will end with a convivial gathering around the pizzas made by the participants, offering a fun and engaging way to celebrate and explore Italian roots and traditions.

Italian Wine Tasting: Wines of Puglia with sommelier Vittoria Cisonno

The Therapist Lab (Alvalade) - R. José d'Esaguy 11 C, 1700-266 Lisboa

A wine tasting dedicated to discovering Puglia, one of Italy’s most fascinating wine regions.Participants will be guided by the expert sommelier Vittoria Cisonno, who will lead a tasting of emblematic wines from the area. The session offers an opportunity to deepen one’s knowledge of Puglia’s native grape varieties and to appreciate their distinctive characteristics through a sensory and cultural experience that blends taste, tradition, and Italian identity.

At the end of the tasting, an italian style aperitivo will be served.

Workshop “Fresh Pasta for Kids” with Chef Luca

Bairro Mini Play - Rua Sport Faro e Benfica 6 A Loja, 8000-151 Faro

A special opportunity to learn how to make authentic homemade Italian pasta and uncover the secrets of traditional cuisine, in an educational experience led by Chef Luca. Through play and creativity, children will have the chance to connect with their Italian roots and strengthen their sense of community, sharing an authentic and meaningful moment together.

The event is organized by the Casa degli Italiani in Algarve Association, in collaboration with COMITES Portugal. This event is exclusively held in Italian.
